Fisherman’s nights in Mimice
Fisherman’s nights last for two days, and they are organized every year at the end of August or in the beginning of September. Local people and guests participate in fishing after which a parade of decorated boats goes from Medići to Marušići.
A wreath in memory of all lost mariners is then laid into the sea. When the boats come back to the port, the fish is weighed, listed, and cleaned. Traditional fish stew is then made and the winner is declared according to the quality and quantity of the catch. We recommend you participate in this interesting event. You can test your fishing skills and have fun dancing and singing afterwards.
